An equilibrium of sorts returns......
THIS DAY IN WW2 (6.10.40)
In the Mediterranean... The Italian submarine Gemma is accidentally sunk by its sister ship Tricheco.
In Romania... Antonescu assumes command of the Iron Guard, adding further strength to his position.
Over Britain... Poor weather brings a brief lull in the London Blitz. The Luftwaffe drops a few bombs near the capital.
TODAY IN MY LIFE
With both wife and son poorly, a prolonged sleep (by my standards) has worked wonders and revealed what I thought may have been a virus was just burnout. I am now ready to keep on keeping on.
TODAY'S THOUGHT
Only by experiencing the full range of triumph and tragedy can fulfilment be found.
TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Once you have found your passion, it drives YOU onward, through every setback, illness, obstacle and even walls.
TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Why stop?
TODAY'S ONELINER
I love minimalism - I just can't get enough! : D
TODAY'S TUNE I LIKE
Straight pop from a successful Russian export

TRIVIA
Traces of cocaine were found on 99% of UK bank notes in a survey in London in 2000.
TODAY'S AFFIRMATION
My passion drives me! I need only permit it!

MONDAY 4th OCTOBER 2010 07:35(BST)
After (another!) difficult day yesterday, sufficient balance has returned for a Monday edition.
THIS DAY IN WW2 (4.10.40)
In Italy... Hitler and Mussolini meet at the Brenner Pass. Hitler warns Mussolini against undertaking new campaigns and offers help in Africa, which Mussolini declines.
In London... Sir Charles Portal is chosen to be the new Chief of the Air Staff. The former chief, Sir Cyril Newall, is appointed Governor General of New Zealand.
TODAY IN MY LIFE
Taking time out for an all-day housework blitz. Getting locks changed after son had his keys stolen.
TODAY'S THOUGHT
Winning the game is the objective but not the reason for playing.
TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I have learned not to negotiate by proxy!
TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
What change will you make today?
TODAY'S ONELINER
I've been on so many blind dates, I should get a free dog : D
TODAY'S TUNE I LIKE
An apparently standard pop song with a deeper meaning. Sorry about the ad at the front.

TRIVIA
About 100 people choke to death on ballpoint pens each year.
TODAY'S AFFIRMATION

SATURDAY 2nd OCTOBER 2010 06:50(BST)
THIS DAY IN WW2 (2.10.40)
Over Britain... There are numerous raids over southeast England by high-flying German Me109 fighter-bombers. British Spitfire fighters disrupt most of the attacks. A few bombs are dropped over southeastern London. Many retiring German planes jettison their payload over Kent and Sussex.
TODAY IN MY LIFE
Re-grounding after an upsetting day yesterday. Blogging and housework.
TODAY'S THOUGHT
Knowing the fate of others is upon your shoulders is a strong incentive to survive.
TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
When my equilibrium is disturbed, I now know what to do. A time out, a night's sleep, re-grounding in the morning restores functionality in less than 24 hours.
TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Are you adapting to changes as they happen?
TODAY'S ONELINER
Regular naps prevent old age... especially if you take them while driving. : D

I have noticed that recently, disrupted routines also disrupt my sleep!
Also, you can only neglect "less important" stuff for so long!
TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU

TODAY'S ONELINER
If it's invisible and smells of carrots, it's probably a rabbit fart : D
