TODAY IN MY LIFE
Mega-laundry day. Being between washing machines, this means a trip to the laundrette and the whole week's washing done at once. I actually don't mind so much, it's an opportunity for contemplation, reading and watching PACIFIC on DVD

TRIVIA
The saying "In the kingdom of the blind the one eyed man is king" orginates from a historical incident when Byzantine emperor Basil II(976-1025CE) defeated a Bulgarian army at the Battle of Kleidion in 1014. Basil was said to have captured 15,000 prisoners and blinded 99 of every 100 men, leaving 150 one-eyed men to lead the rest back to the Bulgarian king.

TODAY'S AFFIRMATION
