THIS DAY IN WW2 (8.3.1941)
In the North Atlantic... Convoy SL-67 escapes attack from the Scharnhorst and Gneisenau because the battleship Malaya is present. Hitler has ordered that no risk of damage to the ships is to be run if this can be avoided.

In Washington... The Lend-Lease Bill is passed by the Senate by 60 votes to 13

TODAY IN MY LIFE
Well that's it, FIT FOR PURPOSE is closed! Just the remaining 2 clients whose courses are not complete - it was good while it lasted!

However the free time this morning means I can do "house husband" stuff - hoovering and dusting etc. Now at least half the house is decent, I'll try to keep it that way. In the afternoon I am working for BRADFORD CANCER SUPPORT. In the evening I may get time to work on my book. Yesterday evening I was, er, "required".

Twitter Followers = 1047 (up 4)
Yesterday the dehumidifier extracted: 0.2 pints = 100 mls - a new record low!

TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
You can be a completely different person when you get some space! When you're not constantly "firefighting" you can see clearly and think straight. I intend to fully maximise this opportunity to consolidate and grow spiritually.

TODAY'S THOUGHT
There is nothing like war to give you an appreciation of peace.

TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
How will you find fulfilment?

TODAY'S ONELINER
Where does the housekeeping budget go? Turn sideways and look in the mirror! : D

WHAT I ATE YESTERDAY
1 bacon butty, 1 can chicken in white sauce 1/2 a large bar of dark choc, 2 choc biscuits, 1 choc liegois, 1 packet of crisps.

TRIVIA
Superstition says that it's bad luck for a flag to touch the ground. Also, the person in the centre in a group photograph or picture will die first.

TODAY'S AFFIRMATION
Every moment will be maximised!
