TUESDAY 28th JULY 2010 09:10(BST)

THIS DAY IN WW2 (28.7.40)
In the South Atlantic... There is an engagement in the south Atlantic between the German auxiliary cruiser Thor and the similar but less well-armed British merchant cruiser Alcantara. Thor is only lightly hit but Alcantara is forced to break off and head for Rio.

In Britain... Due to Luftwaffe harrassment, all British destroyers are withdrawn from Dover to Portsmouth.

TODAY IN MY LIFE
Attempting to clear some networking backlog as well as prepare for next PRONET meeting tomorrow. Another networking lunch today and a client consultation.

When you realise the impact of your actions on others for good or ill, you will never again question your worth.

TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION

TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Whose day will you brighten today?

TODAY'S ONELINER

A Rebel fairytale begins, "Y'all ain't gonna believe this shit..."
