Getting the Fusebox Replaced!

THIS DAY IN WW2 (17.2.40): The Soviet advance has completely cleared the Mannerheim Line. All the Finnish defenders are now established in their second line of defence.

TODAY IN MY LIFE: Having fuse box replaced. A rare opportunity for contemplation and stillness.

TODAY'S THOUGHT: Awareness, beyond your control, should be declared an open forum. Your focus, subject to your will, should be on a leash in every conscious moment.

TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION: Waking is like rebirth, another opportunity to avoid being reinfected with the same dark thoughts.

TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU: Can you honestly say that there is nothing you can do?

TODAY'S ONELINER: The great advantage of driving a Sherman Tank is that you can park in places that are already parked on. : D

GARY'S DESERT ISLAND 100 Day 18: XENTRIX - Ghostbusters: Far superior to Ray Parker Junior! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZVQv_bttaY

TODAY'S NAME THAT TUNE: Just sixteen in my pickup truck, out of money, out of luck, got nowhere to call my own, hit the gas and here I go (1980)

TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today every word I speak will have uplifting value.

extra entry YESTERDAY: I agreed to be referred to a counsellor for carers of psychotics. Went to Leeds foe retail therapy - purchased wall lights and two DVDs (LIFE ON EARTH and SMACK THE PONY)
