TRIVIA
The human appendix serves absolutely no purpose, and is known as a vestigial organ - an organ made redundant by evolution. In our primordial ancestors it was used to digest cellulose. With a change in diet, this became unnecessary. However humans still need to consume cellulose (dietary fibre) regularly to keep the bowel working properly and prevent constipation. It retains water, which lubricates the gut (allowing food to move through easier) and allows digestive enzymes to work properly.
Organs become vestigial because if not necessary, those without them save energy and resources maintaining them, giving them an edge in surviving famines.

TODAY'S AFFIRMATION
My mind is focused completely on gratitude, the hunt for opportunities, the task in hand and my inner guidance.
